When you think of Italy, what comes to mind are likely things like food, fashion, design and art. Deserts, however, are not usually what we associate with Italy. But a countrywide water crisis has created deserts where a few years ago there were cultivated lands, rivers, lakes and other natural beauty. Our client, Finish, which has been fighting against water wastage for years, wanted our help drawing attention to the development of technologies for saving and efficiently using water resources in Italy.
So we created the The Acqua nelle nostre mani initiative and the first tourist guide to the “Deserts of Italy,” partnering with renowned National Geographic photographer Gabriele Galimberti to highlight those areas in the process of desertification: places that everyone can visit, but also help bring back to a more prosperous condition by avoiding daily water waste.
The campaign earned 250+ articles.
And reached more than 50 million people.
