HAVAS Red, a public relations and communications group, has grown significantly in recent years by having a presence in various international markets. Japan, Greece and the Ivory Coast were the last three, but as James Wright says, “the company’s approach is not to cover all markets, but to fill the geographic gaps where there is significant potential.”
As an example, the global CEO of Havas Red and CEO of Havas Creative Network Australia spoke about the case of India, “an important market for the group” in which they did not operate until Archana Jain, founder and general manager of PR Pundit finally agreed to let the communications consultancy become part of Havas Red. Today the focus of this expansion shifts to South America and Latin America, where unexplored opportunities await.
“We are trying to help brands become part of the culture so we cannot have a one-size-fits-all solution for a global brand. It will be different in Japan than in the United States or Australia. We have to recognize this, and as strategic consultants we can help them to carry a story, which comes to life in a different way and depends on the particularities of each country or city,” said James Wright during the round table conducted by IPMARK.
